• Check and adjust all settings back to factory specifications.
• Test gas pressure and system voltage.
• Inspect the inside of the fireplace and ensure all parts are clean and functioning properly, including the pilot light.
• Clean and inspect the glass panel(s) and fireplace glass seal. Check for cracked glass and verify all gasket seals are airtight. Clean glass panel(s) with a soft cloth and gentle glass cleaner to prevent scratches.
• Replace the glowing embers and inspect the logs.
• Use a vacuum cleaner to clear any dust and debris from the control compartment.
• Check system venting and vacuum vents free of dust and debris.
• Check for gas and carbon monoxide leaks. (It’s recommended that carbon monoxide detectors be installed near your gas fireplace and replaced every five years.)
